Accidents on power lines left without light 140 thousand families in the Czech Republic

In the Czech Republic in the system of electrical supplies there were hundreds of accidents which have been caused by rushes of the heavy wind passing into a hurricane. It was said by the official representative of the national company – the electric power distributor Sonya Golingerova. Golingerova has noted that because of an emergency about 140 thousand families at the moment are without electricity. – We have recorded 120 accidents on lines of high-voltage transfers and hundreds of less considerable damages to the system of power supply of consumers. They are caused by the heavy wind which has fallen upon the republic on Sunday evening which in places has got hurricane force. About 140 thousand families and commercial objects have remained without electricity, – the woman has told. The most difficult situation in electrical supplies is observed in the Central Czech Republic, in the West and the northeast of the republic. In these territories wind has torn wires on power lines, and in some places has tumbled down also the wooden columns carrying them, TASS reports. Repair work has already begun, however they are complicated by rains and heavy rains. In some areas rushes of heavy wind don't weaken yet.
