Media: The Ministry of Culture reduces audience of foreign cinema by means of age ratings

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation began a thicket to assign to the foreign pictures "adults" scores, at the same time for the Russian movies the situation hasn't changed, Vedomosti with reference to the research "Nevafilm Research" tells. The analytical company notes that in 2014 the rating "18" has received every seventh foreign movie, in the 2015th – every fourth, and in the 2017th – more than a third (37%). Besides, last year 40% of movies have received rating "16", 10% – "12". It is noted that the share of the Russian movies with "adult" ratings for the same period has decreased from 58 to 52%. That is for audience 12 years are younger every second movie is available. The animated film Disney "Koko's Secret" which has received "12" is provided as biased exposure of ratings.
